Somewhat of a misfit who knits... sharing her knits and other bits.

Montego Bay Scarf (for Auntie L) Yarn: Handmaiden Sea Silk - Ebony Needles: Size 9 straight Modifications: Larger needles and less fringe. I used strands of three for the fringe. (Pattern featured in the Summer 2007 issue of Interweave Knits)
I love it in black! I've got one on the needles stuff in a closet somewhere because I decided that I didn't like the colorway 5 inches in. I need to just frog it and start over ;-)
"Melissa Girl" - meaning a certain type of friendly-cool /retro-funky woman who usually has impeccably plucked eyebrows and a vintage bicycle and/or handbag. As in, "Greta played in the field today with Betty- you know, the spotted dog with the Melissa Girl mom."
(Thanks Eva!)
