Basic Cable Hat (for Evan) Yarn: Cascade 220 Heathers Peruvian Highland Wool #9449 (navy) and #9332 (light blue) Needles: Sized for a toddler by using size 5 and 6 needles Pattern Modifications: 3 rows of contrasting color in ribbing and 1 added set of cable pattern. The sizing came out great, it just looks a little stretched out in this photo. (Pattern by Christine Quirion from "Stitch n' Bitch Nation")
"Melissa Girl" - meaning a certain type of friendly-cool /retro-funky woman who usually has impeccably plucked eyebrows and a vintage bicycle and/or handbag. As in, "Greta played in the field today with Betty- you know, the spotted dog with the Melissa Girl mom."
(Thanks Eva!)
